Chalk

This week I found some chalk on clearance at Superstore.  Regular $2/pail these are on clearance for just .50 cents each.  These would be great for either gender and all ages.

I think most kids would have a place to use these...a street or cement wall, but I think of those kids living in areas that are more lush and green.  Cement may not be something that's plentiful, so I think a small chalk board would be a great addition to these.
They come in a small pail with a lid and handle, so I think it could be repurposed once the chalk has been used.
If you do go on the hunt for these, check the clearance bins when you first walk in, as well as the toy section.  Lots of summer clearance...

Anyone finding any good end of season deals?

Items to look for are skipping ropes, t-shirts, flip-flops, balls, sand toys.

I stopped at Bargain Shop and found a few goodies.

Superstore Pencil Crayon Blowout!

Superstore is clearing out the PC Green brand on pencil crayons.  24 for .50 cents!!  The lowest I've ever seen.  And if you divide them between 2 boxes that's .25 cents per box.  Last week when I checked they were $2.50 per box!  What a nice surprise.

Anyone clip the $1.00 off a Colgate Max of Colgate 360 coupon a few weeks ago from the inserts in the Weekend paper?  Today I checked Superstore and the Colgate Max was on sale for $1.00.  Making it free!
I have another $1.00 off coupon from Websaver.ca, but it's for the Colgate 360.  I'm hoping they go on sale soon too.

Bag your candy and soap.

Did you notice in Canada's yes/no list that all Candy Must be Bagged.
This is to protect the other valuable items inside the box, in case it melts.
It is also a good idea to bag your soap.
This week Superstore has their No Name brand zipper bags (100 count) on sale 2 for $3.00.

Superstore toy clearance

I noticed Superstore added 1/2 price stickers to a few of their sale toys.
Some that caught my eye, and made it into my cart were..
Barbies. On sale for $6.00 to $10.00 and then 1/2 off the sale price, making them $3.00-$5.00
There were also some crayola packs.
There were alot of clearance stuffed animals starting at .94 cents.

I'm still waiting for them to mark down their remaining school supplies.
This should be happening shortly.

Under $10.00 boxes. 10-14 boy

This is the first year I am collecting supplies all year around.
And I must say that enjoy the hunt of finding a good bargain.
It's amazing what God puts in our path.

I decided to do a 10-14 boys box first.
I do believe that 10-14 boxes are the least amount packed world wide.
And in my mind I always thought they were hard to pack for.
But after hearing that they receive the least amount of boxes I was determined to pack more for them.
I have enjoyed looking for ideas online.
The Operation Christmas Child facebook page has great ideas, as does Clip with a Purpose.
So here's what I've come up with for my first box under $10.00
And I have found they are not that to fill;)

Which age and gender would you like to see next?

Multi-colored pens.

I remember having these when I was growing up.  I loved all the colored ink options, all in one pen.
I found these at Superstore for $1.00.  Last year I managed to score some in their after school clearance.  But they had hardly any left, so scooped some up.  I think it is money well spent.

$1.00 at Dollarama.

Divide each package of 24 pencil crayons in 1/2.

Now you have enough pencil crayons for 8 boxes.

Plus 8 pencil sharpeners.

(4 free pencil sharpeners which come on the box and the pack of 4 from Dollarama)

All for $6.00 or .75 cents a box.

Tennis Balls

Superstore marked down their 18 pack of tennis balls.

Regular over $10.  Now $2.94.

That's .16 cents per ball.

Imagine all the fun that will be had!

Superstore marked down some of their childrens t-shirts to $1.94.

I found quite a few boys ones.  For all age groups.

I did find girls t-shirts they were just in a different area.

Flipping through the back to school flyer's I noticed they're advertising loose leaf at amazing prices!

Superstore and Walmart have 150 sheets for .25 cents.

(Sorry my picture has Staples on it.  I bought when they had it on sale too.)

Have you ever thought of buying a pack and dividing it and putting it in your box.

If you divide it by 5 each box receives 30 sheets.

And it's only 5 cents a box for paper!  And what a precious commodity paper is in developing countries.

Will you even notice the .25 cents on your bill?  How can you not buy it;)
